the she’s a given STORY:

After almost 5 years at Amazon Corporate HQ, Emilie Given wished for a role where she was able to commute less, spend more time with her family, and still do the work she loved: supporting high level executives and making their lives easier. Starting as a subcontractor, and then diving headfirst into freelance work, she then built her own thriving agency.

She’s A Given was born in the summer of 2018 with the goal to help other entrepreneurs and executives achieve true work/life harmony. Now, Emilie and the team at She’s A Given are focused on building relationships with clients and assistants alike; helping them crush their goals, focus on their passions, and live their best lives (in and out of the workplace).

Emilie Given is a virtual assistant agency owner and online entrepreneur. She is passionate about matching C-level executive assistants with dynamic business leaders who have taken on too much. By facilitating the right match, Emilie’s company, She’s A Given, helps those business leaders delegate more effectively so they make it home in time for dinner—and be present at the table.

While she loves matching assistants with executives and their teams, Emilie is equally enthusiastic about helping women build thriving careers that give them space to take the occasional morning spin class. That’s where She’s A Given Academy comes in. In her coaching containers, Emilie helps women kick down the corporate ladder and launch businesses on their terms.

After she and her son nearly died during childbirth, Emilie decided her work and her family needed to be in harmony. Since she knew she could create that often-elusive equilibrium for other executive assistants and business leaders, she founded She’s A Given in 2018.

Emilie has been featured in Forbes, Business Insider, Scary Mommy, and The New York Post. Outside of work, you can find her adventuring with her family, scheming up new business ideas, at spin class, and enjoying the restaurant scene with people she loves.
